PDmage ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free Android utility for working with PDF and image files. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling data transparently.
The short version: your files never leave your device. Everything is processed locally, offline.
Information We Collect
PDmage is designed to work 100% offline. The app processes all files locally on your device and never uploads them to any server. We collect only the following limited data:
- Files you open or create โ processed entirely on-device. We never access, read, or transmit your documents.
- App preferences & settings โ stored locally on your device (e.g. theme, saved preferences).
- Anonymous crash reports โ Firebase Crashlytics may collect anonymised crash data to help us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included.
- Ad interaction data โ Google AdMob may collect anonymised ad interaction data for displaying rewarded ads that unlock premium tools.
- Analytics (this website) โ Firebase Analytics collects anonymised page view data on pdmage.pages.dev to understand traffic patterns.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely to:
- Operate and improve the app's features and stability
- Diagnose and fix crashes via anonymised reports
- Display non-intrusive rewarded ads through Google AdMob
- Send optional app update notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
- Understand website traffic patterns via Firebase Analytics
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
PDmage integrates the following third-party SDKs, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Permissions We Request
- READ/WRITE External Storage โ to open, save, and export your PDF and image files.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS โ optional update notifications (Android 13+).
- INTERNET โ used only by AdMob for ad delivery and FCM for notifications. Your files are never sent over the internet.
Data Retention & Security
All file processing happens on your device. We do not store your files on any server. App preferences are retained locally until you uninstall the app or clear app data. Anonymised crash reports are retained by Firebase for 90 days.
We use industry-standard practices to protect the limited data we do collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
PDmage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Since PDmage processes all files locally and does not maintain a user account system, there is no personal data stored on our servers to request deletion of. For any data held by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase), you may exercise your rights directly through Google's privacy controls.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
