Yes โ the core tools (compress, merge, split, convert, resize, crop, rotate) are completely free with no time limits or file limits. Some advanced features like OCR and the full PDF editor are unlocked by watching a short rewarded ad. No subscription, no paywall.
Completely. PDmage is built offline-first โ every tool runs entirely on your device. You can use it on a plane, in a basement with no signal, or with your data turned off. The only time it needs internet is for loading rewarded ads (AdMob).
Your files never leave your device. PDmage has no servers, no cloud storage, and no mechanism to upload documents. All processing โ compression, OCR, editing, conversion โ happens locally using on-device libraries. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
PDmage supports Android 7.0 (Nougat) and above. It's built with Jetpack Compose and targets the latest Android SDK, so it looks and feels native on all modern Android devices.
PDmage uses Google ML Kit's on-device OCR engine, which runs entirely offline after a one-time model download. It can extract text from scanned PDFs and images with high accuracy, and the result is a searchable, editable text layer โ no cloud processing involved.
PDmage is distributed as a direct APK from GitHub Releases. When a new version is out, you'll receive a push notification (if enabled) via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can also check github.com/Ujjwalhere/PDmage/releases anytime for the latest build.
